With the explosion in use of the internet,
there are now even more ways you can order goods from wholesalers.
Many wholesalers have recognised the need for an internet presence and place
stock lists and special offer information on their web sites. Some of the
larger wholesalers also offer an online ordering and payment facility for
their customers.
Alternatively, you can visit the wholesalers premises to view their stock
range and collect catalogues for future ordering.
Buying from a wholesalers premises
If you are visiting a wholesaler for the first time remember to take some
proof of trading with you to show that you are a bonefide trader. Also
telephone them to check that their opening times for callers.
Ordering and buying online
When you are buying online you should always read the product description
carefully to make sure that the items are the correct ones. If there is a
facility to pay online we would recommend that you use a credit card so that
you are protected by your credit card issuer should something go wrong.
Always check that the credit card payment service being used by the
wholesaler is secure and that there are clear contact details for them
should you have any queries. Retain any emailed receipts for your accounts
and to balance your credit card statement when it arrives.
